The hazard

On certain vehicles, a loss of electrical connection in the steering column may prevent the second stage of the driver’s front airbag from deploying in crash events where second stage deployment is warranted. This could increase the risk of injury to the driver. Correction: Dealers will test the terminals in the clock spring connector, and any loose terminals found will be replaced.
