The hazard
*** This notice is provided for information purposes only as the subject equipment is not regulated under the Motor Vehicle Safety Act *** On certain tonneau covers, sold as aftermarket equipment for various light trucks, if the front panel is not latched or were to unlatch while the vehicle is in motion, the panel may not remain closed and the tonneau cover assembly could separate from the vehicle while it is being driven. This could potentially result in property damage and pose a hazard to other road users. Correction: Owners will be supplied with tether straps for the front panel.
