The hazard

On certain snowmobiles, the headlamp dimmer switch may fail to deactivate one circuit prior to energizing the other circuit, which would allow the high beam and low beam headlamps to be ON simultaneously. If this occurs, the added load on the circuit would cause the fuse to fail. Loss of headlamp illumination, should it occur during a rainy day, or during hours of darkness, could compromise the rider's ability to see the road and its users, which could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the headlamp dimmer switch assembly.
