The hazard
On certain vehicles, the supply and delivery air lines for the foot valve may contact the engine air intake and suffer chafe damage. Rapid air loss from the supply line would allow spring brake application, causing immediate brake lock-up. Air leakage from one of the two delivery air lines would result in partial loss of brake function, which could increase stopping distance. These issues could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, reroute the air lines at the foot valve.
