Wanderlodge 450 Lxi: Steering
Affects Wanderlodge 450 Lxi · 2005–2007 — about 3 vehicles.
The hazard
Certain motorhomes are affected by the following four issues: 1). Tie rod assemblies were produced with steel that did not meet design specifications, therefore could fail prematurely; 2). The front axle curb weight may exceed the specified 16,000 lb weight rating; 3). The tire data decal does not indicate adequate tire inflation pressure; and 4). Improper front wheel alignment from the factory, which could cause premature tire wear. Tie rod failure could result in a loss of steering control, causing a crash with property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will replace both tie rod ends and front tires, and perform a wheel alignment. Updated tire data decal, indicating 130 psi inflation pressure, and certification label, showing a 17,000 lb front GAWR, will be installed, along with labels stating weight limits for each of the three front storage bays.
