The hazard
On certain cargo trailers, the aluminium wheels can crack along the edge, which could cause the wheel to break apart. A sudden loss of air pressure could severely affect vehicle handling, which may result in a vehicle crash causing property damage and/or personal injury or death. Note: Further evaluation revealed this to be the result of overloading by the operator, and not a flaw in design, or manufacturing
