The hazard
On certain fifth wheel and travel trailers, the axles may not have been manufactured correctly. The weld joining the axle tube to the spindle may fail. As a result, the spindle may separate from the axle tube, allowing the wheel and hub assembly to come off the vehicle. Sudden axle failure could result in a vehicle crash. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if required, replace the axle assembly.
