Freightliner Custom Chassis (Fccc) Motorhome Chassis: Steering

Affects Freightliner Custom Chassis (Fccc) Motorhome Chassis · 2005–2006 — about 50 vehicles.

The hazard

On certain vehicles, tie rods installed during vehicle assembly may be too short, resulting in insufficient thread engagement. As a result, tie rod ends may separate, resulting in reduced steering control. Such an event may lead to a crash causing injury or death. Correction: Dealers will replace the tie rods.
