Mercedes-Benz R Class: Seats and Restraints
Affects Mercedes-Benz R Class · 2006 — about 113 vehicles.
The hazard
On certain vehicles, the nuts used to anchor seat belt buckles of the second row seat may not have been manufactured correctly. The screw threads in the nuts may be missing. The seat belt buckles could separate from the seat assembly during a vehicle crash. If a separation occurred in a crash, seat occupants may not be properly restrained, increasing the risk of personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace second row seats.
