The hazard
On certain motorhomes, the trailer hitch receiver reinforcing plates were omitted during vehicle assembly. Under certain conditions, this could cause the hitch to fail during usage, possibly allowing the towed unit to separate from the towing vehicle. Correction: Dealers will install hitch receiver reinforcing plates.
