The hazard

On certain vehicles, the transmission cooler line can rub against the auxiliary heater exhaust. This chafe point may lead to premature failure of the transmission cooler line and a subsequent transmission fluid leak may result. Transmission fluid, in the presence of a high heat source, can result in a vehicle fire. Correction: Owner notification including repair instructions for installation of a modified transmission cooler line will be supplied.
