The hazard

On certain vehicles, the front axle beam may have been omitted from inspection through a Magnaflux operation before final assembly and could contain cracks. These beams could exhibit a 75% reduction in component fatigue life if a crack were to develop in a high-stress location. If a beam were to fracture while the vehicle was in motion, it would affect the steering of the vehicle and could cause a loss of vehicle control. Correction: Owners notification including repair instructions forr replacement of beams with surface condition outside specifications will be supplied.
