The hazard

On certain trucks, the steering shaft may contact the top of the firewall adapter opening. Over time the adapter could wear a groove in the steering shaft and eventually cause the steering shaft to fail, resulting in loss of steering control and a possible crash. Correction: Firewall adapter plate will be modified on affected vehicles.
