The hazard

On certain 740I, 740IL and 750IL vehicles, the lower suspension arm mounting eye on the right side rear axle hub carrier could have a casting flaw. It is possible that the carrier eye could crack and break during driving. If this were to occur, the right rear wheel would no longer function as designed and the driver's ability to maintain control of the vehicle would be considerably reduced. Correction: Right side rear axle hub carrier will be inspected for the presence of the casting flaw and replaced if the flaw is present.
