The hazard

Certain vehicles may exhibit fan blade rivet breakage which could lead to fan blade separation from the spider. If this should occur while the hood is open, a person working under the hood of the vehicle or in the vicinity of the vehicle could be struck by the fan blade and injured. Correction: Dealers will inspect and replace, if necessary, the existing fan with one having thicker headed rivets.
