The hazard
On certain Volvo 740, 940 and 960, the seatbelt webbing guide (B-pillar "D" ring) does not meet specifications. A defective webbing guide may break under very heavy loads and may thereby reduce the restraining properties of the seatbelt in severe crashes. Correction: The metal plate of the webbing guide ("D" ring) in the upper seatbelt anchorage will be reinforced for both front seating positions.
