The hazard

ON BUSES BUILT WITH AN EXTRA THICK FLOOR, THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT THE BOTTOM EDGE OF THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, WHEN DEPRESSED, COULD COME IN CONTACT WITH A HEAD OF A BOLT SECURING THE TRANSMISSION COVER TO THE FLOOR. THIS COULD CAUSE THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL TO STICK AND NOT RETURN TO THE IDLE POSITION WHEN RELEASED RESULTING IN POSSIBLE LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL AND A CRASH. CORRECTION: ON BUSES WITH LESS THAN 1/4 INCH CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE BOTTOM OF THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND THE BOLT HEAD ON THE FLOOR, DEALERS WILL REMOVE 1/2 INCH FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL.
