Western Star C.O.E.: Seats and Restraints
Affects Western Star C.O.E. · 1983–1985 — about 53 vehicles.
The hazard
Certain trucks were built with driver and passenger seats; which, when the seat belt is extended completely from the non- locking retractor, buckled and adjusted around the occupant's pelvic area, may not allow the belt to remain sufficiently snug during vehicle operation. This condition may allow undesirable occupant movement during a sudden vehicle manuever and present a potential for personal injury in the event of a crash. Note: This recall superseded by recall 1986135.
